In a Different Context

After reading about Bronfenbrenner’s theory and his PPCT model, I got the most curious about a person’s context such as his microsystem, mesosytem, exosystem, and macrosystem. I tried searching for examples online but I found that there wasn’t a truly correct category for one environment. For example, church could be defined as a microsystem in most books but it might really just be an exosystem for others. For me, I now consider church as an exosystem because I stopped going to church after moving here to Manila. For a long time now, I’ve just been going to church for the sake of it and because I go with my family. I usually don’t remember the homilies, I don’t get moved by anything the priest says, and I don’t have many relationships that were built through faith. It would be vastly different for someone who goes to praise and worship services every week and someone like me.
